Valentine Tag

I previously had a policy of not honoring tags, but I thought I would make an exception for valentine's day. I think I have been tagged by everyone I know, so I won't bother passing it along.

How long have you been together? 12 years

How long did you date? 7 months from meeting to marraige

How old is he? 38 How old are you?
still 31 (for a few more days)

Who eats more?
Brent eats more at meals, and more candy, but I graze more since here I am all day with a whole kitchen, and he is confined to a lunch box.

Who said "I love you" first?
I assume it was him, but can't remember. I know I started falling in love the night he played cowboy and took me in boots and wranglers to a Rodeo in Yakima. We doubled with his 35 year old friend Brian and his nephew because he couldn't find himself a date.
They sat squished in the back seat of his Supra and Brent held my hand for the first time on the way home.

Who is taller?
I would say Brent by a hair but that doesn't make any sense. He is, unless I am in my heels. The cool thing is though, he likes me tall.

Who sings better?
I thought I was a good singer for many years, thanks to an encouraging mother. Brent told me after hearing me sing that I have an OK voice. I also remember him mentioning that I would be one of those ones that we laugh at trying out for American Idol. I don't let it bother me and still sing love songs to him for his birthdays, etc. I love his voice. He can go really high.

Who is smarter? He beats me in almost every category unless you can read about it in People Magazine or the Scriptures.

Who does the laundry?
I Always do, and I usually keep caught up. I got Brent to do laundry once when I left him with the kids for 6 days. He thought it was a breeze. Of course, He never let them change their clothes, though. They had to get up each day and put on the exact same outfit.

Who does the dishes?
When Brent brought home the dishwasher it just sat there for a couple weeks till we agreed to this deal. He installs, we wash All the dishes. Kennon was the last one holding out, but finally we all were begging him to put it in. It has been almost 2 months and he hasn't washed a single dish. . After dinner he says, "Ok, we'll see you girls. Go help your mother."

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?
Brent does because it is where the alarm is and he's the lucky one who has to use one.

Who pays the bills?
Me, and I am terrible at it. I am constantly in trouble and wish he would take over.

Who mows the lawn?
Kennon and I. But last summer he was about to fire us because we have really large tree roots that stick out of our lawn. Kennon and I have a habit of hitting them just right and bending the blades enough to stop the mower. Just one more thing for the man to fix.

Who cooks dinner?
I always do. I can do it faster and healthier. But Brent is great to help out with things that need a little more care. I am a little sloppy so he does the pretty stuff.

Who is more stubborn? I really don't think stubborness is a big issue, although He says I am impossible to teach anything to. That might mean I'm stubborn.

Who kissed who first?
I actually initiated it. . . he was taking so long. And it happened in The Buick.

Who asked who out? Brent called me up after meeting me briefly at a dance. It was the next morning at 11 a.m. and I was still in bed. He told my sister to wake me up. He couldn't even pronounce my name.We doubled with his brother Bryan that night at a bowling alley where we played minature hockey, then pizza hut, and then a very stupid twinkie roadkill game. Luckily I gave him a second chance. The first date didn't do it.

Who proposed?
Brent suprised me and got down on one knee while we were changing water soaking wet. IT was very romantic, but completely unplanned. For a long time I felt jipped that he took the easy way out. But now I think it was pretty cool. He was just so in love. We used to have a great time on that hayfield.

Who is more sensitive?
MEEE. I'm working on it.

Who has more friends?
Brent and I really don't collect too many friends, just lots of acquaintances. We love to go hang out or attend parties, but for the most part we are also happy to be loners.

Who has more siblings? Brent has 8, I have 6. Thus I thought for sure we would have a huge family. I have had to talk him into every single one though.

Who wears the pants in the relationship?
Brent is the boss. Sometimes good, sometimes ANNOYING.

Who I am tagging? No one, but Brent if you need to set the record straight go right ahead.

I am laughing =). I know the feeling about wanting a fantabulous proposal. William tried to propose a couple of times and I flat out told him "oh no, you want to wait, and have something special planned and make it a big deal." By the third time it was obvious I wasn't getting through to him, so I finally just let him ask me. oohh wellll
