Track season

Savannah's hurdling injury cut short her season last year and left her with a pink cast. She switched events this year and has done very well in the high jump placing second at last weeks meet with a jump of 4.2 (I believe).

Kennon placed third overall in the 400 meter run.

Track meets have been few and far between this year due to spring rains. It is staying nice and green around here and I love not having to water my new garden I am planting.

I don't miss the days in the desert trying to keep a nice green yard alive. And despite the rain we have had enough sun to justify putting up our pool in time for Memorial Day Holiday Brent filled it up with warm water from the house since he's Mr. Nice Guy. They played in it all day yesterday. It's raining again today.

Marcus spends lots of time outdoors playing in all the new sand his Dad dug up. He thinks he's at the beach and my wood floors are impossible to keep clean now he's tracking it in constantly. He brought out all the beach toys and the sun umbrella. He also is enjoying popsicle season and the box of freeze pops I put in the freezer. He was just helping himself to them constantly by running through the garage (located next to his sandbox) and into the storage room where the freezer is. One day we heard him run by an open window with a couple for him and his neighbor friend. He offered him one with a big smile on his face saying, "My mother didn't even notice". He was pretty surprised when I called him in.  The gig is up. Sorry buddy.
