And the award goes to . . .

We have so much stuff on here that makes us look bad, I figured it was okay to brag just a little once in a while.

When Savannah came home the last day of her state tests for 3rd grade earlier in the school year I asked her how they had gone.

"So easy, Mom. I got them all right."

Whatever! She really thinks she is all that! ( I thought to myself)

Well today at the school awards ceremony we found out she really did get a perfect score in all her subjects (reading, math, and english)!

Teachers give out two awards for three different categories per class.
Academic, Most Improved and Citizenship.
Also the art, music, and gym teachers give out two awards per class. Here's how our girls fared:

Kennon: Academic Award, Music Award,Physical Education Award
Savannah: Academic Award, Music Award, Physical Education Award
Camille: Citizenship Award, Physical Education Award

For some reason we got shafted by the art teacher.

Besides that I'd say they pretty much cleaned everyone's clocks. It was almost embarrassing. But, we are of course quite proud of them.

Isn't it so late to still be in school? Aren't I so lucky? It all ends tommorrow.

The only award I ever remember getting was at the end of a pitiful year of 7th grade softball. I was stuck in right field all year and only touched a ball during practice. They gave me the "Most Improved" Award. Gee, thanks!

I wish I had a scanner so I could post a picture and show you where these girls get it from. It's of a cute little kindergarten boy, beaming at a camera, completely covered in Field Day Blue Ribbons from Basin City Elementary.

Hi Kashann! I came across your blog from Natasha's. Hope you don't mind I stopped by to take a peek. Your family's gorgeous and congratulations on baby #5. You know most people I know that had 4 of one sex ended up having the opposite for their 5th? I still couldn't talk Mick into it though. :)

Kashan- I saw your comment on our blog and felt a sad feeling of not having an easy way to talk and relate the way we did in Buffalo! Hurray for your girls- so darn smart! We already miss Kennan- we may have to rob the cradle again to get a good babysitter. I heard the weather out there has been awesome- figures! Hey two more years Kashan- it will go so quick. Again so good to see what's up with your family!

I'm not surprised. Your girls are so smart and talented. I'm sure your boy is too. Don't you think it's time he got to work earning some ribbons too? Or is he rebelling because he feels overshadowed by his incredible older sisters?
