This will be my last year that I send a newsletter. My kids are too old and not any fun anymore. Savannah made me delete her paragraph, Camille had to be paid off, and Caroline couldn't read well enough to protest. I used to think I wrote funny stuff, but according to my children it's all just plain mean. Even blogging nowadays is getting quite difficult. I keep telling them that they will thank me someday but they just don't buy it now.
And Here And some other photos that didn't make the cut.
One week old Calvin spent lots of time sunning his naked body in the kitchen window to cure a small case of jaundice.
I took lots of pictures and turned up the heat about 15 degrees. That was a nice day.
Brent hates family photos so bad. Once a year I torture him. And the rest of these people weren't very cooperative either. Brent was so frustrated with Marcus the whole time because every time it was a different crazy face. I thought it was great. We did attempt to get everyone in the photo, but I thought I looked fat and was too vain so you won't be seeing that one. (See I make fun of myself too, kids.) Really not fair to Brent who got dressed up and everything for nothing.
Love the face Marcus!
Kennon sang with the school jazz band for the Christmas Concert. She did awesome! Savannah recently joined the band on the ukelele, so she qualifies for eight grade singing group Silver Lining next year. Her friend also is a recent new band member in the trumpet section. I guess she hasn't had time to practice much yet and just held up her the horn and didn't blow into it. I am not sure how Savannah did. She started up less than a month before the concert. I hope she at least was playing though. I couldn't see her on the back row.
We are doing great here. The snow is just starting to fall. The kids have a half day and it's supposed to be all fun after that, so I better get back to work.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Tell Kennon she looks beautiful in that last picture--so modest and gorgeous! How can people in their right mind dress their teenage girls in a spaghetti strap mini-dress? Craziness. Kennon, you are rockin' the 'modest is hottest' look!
I get you on the blogging. Now that my kids are aware I have a blog, they are totally annoyed by what I write (which is why I don't write). I will miss your newsletters at Christmas--I always look forward to your humor. You are darn funny, no matter what anyone says!:) But I totally get the pressure to not embarrass them. Funny thing is, you can tell through your sarcasm that you adore the heck out of your kids. That's why you can poke fun.
I love the family pictures. Love them! They're much more interesting with pulled faces than with everyone looking perfect. Have a very merry Christmas!
Kashann,
You may not know this but I regularly read your blog and secretly want you and Brent to adopt me! I think you guys have a duper fun house-- and I can't tell you how badly I want to go to the dump and participate in a team casper project.
Maybe your blog just needs a kid prohibiting password?
Thanks for writing.
xoxo

I love that face marcus is making--it reminds me of the boys at that age...and now. Jeremy gets just as frustrated with family pictures.
Hope you're surviving with six!
