Now it's official
These good times are gone
I got myself a Doctor!
At the senior banquet we met another young dentist who was visiting his fiance also graduating. When we mentioned our pursuit of a practice in Altoona he told us his parents are living there. I immediately starting pumping him for opinions. He struggled with an endorsement that would please us, finally coming up with " It's . . . Quaint."
Obviously way too quaint for 20 something single men such as himself.
I told him I like quaint. He said we will fit in just great there then.
So according to popular opinion obtained from recent surveys we are really going out on a limb with this Pennsylvania obsession. But the opinions of the Dr. and I are the only ones that count, right? We are the ones that have to, make that, Get to live there.
It's still to early to figure out WHERE exactly we are going to live there. Even to say totally for sure that we ARE going to live there. We keep having moments of doubt, usually after conversations such as this one above. So we review what we know and what we like and once again determine that. . different strokes for different folks.
For the record I am super stoked about the "quaint part."
We are both in pursuit of the simple life. Church, School, Office all within biking distance, if "it looks like a good day for a bike ride". A place just out of town with some land, but not having to be more than 10 minutes away from everything. We are hoping to be far away from the rat race. Thinking that in a place such as this it will be easier to not have desires to keep up with the Jones's.
I loved the whole graduation and was so happy to be there to support Brent after how hard he has worked the last 6 years (which is really when the mid life crisis began and we started this pursuit). It was just so amazing to sit there and think, "Wow, we really did this thing that once seemed crazy and near impossible to do. And it was really fun and has changed our lives forever." That's how I feel about this next step in our lives. We are jumping into something maybe a little naive and just maybe . . we don't know what the heck we are doing. But we made the decision together. And somehow that is all that matters -being together.

Congrats. Kashann, as usual, you look beautiful. Peter saw this picture and said that we look alot alike. I thought it was such a great compliment. I love the red belt and earrings.
You look so cute Aunt Kashann. :)
Congratulations Uncle Brent. I remember when you used to be my roping rodeo, pizza delivering, farm boy uncle. Now look at you, at DENTIST!

I really like your belt over the cardigan--I'm not brave enough to try that yet.
You looked gorgeous! All the dress worries were for nothing!
The past four years have flown by..what a journey!
I'll miss you! Keep in touch.
Congratulations! What a journey for you and your family! I still remember that day you and Brent came to the church house to check out the ward and Buffalo. It all goes by so fast. We still love our years in Buffalo.
