Indian Summer

Here's 8 month old Marcus enjoying his monthly birthday outside in November in 70 plus degree Buffalo! It feels way too good to be true. I talked the kids into yard work with the promise of a really big pile of leaves. The pile was raked under the rope swing and we had an instant hit that lasted for hours yesterday.
And we had all day off to work and play since our school district takes the fall holidays very seriously and school is always canceled for important days like Halloween and Decision 2008, of course. Especially when such a important candidate is on the ballot. We are bursting with Obamaness around here.
Speaking of voting we had wide range of votes cast in this family in the presidential race.
I finally caved to the establishment and decided to vote for McCain, after wasting tons of time wondering if I should go with my husband and the constitution party. As it turns out, I am wondering if his so called "Chuck Baldwin" even exists. He definitely doesn't in the state of NY as he wasn't even a choice on our ballot yesterday. Poor Brent had to settle for Bob Barr in the voting booth.

And here are the results of the local elementary "Kids Vote" the school principal read over the intercom Monday afternoon.

"345 for Barak Obama 130 -John McCain . . . and 3 votes for . . . Chu. . . Charles Baldwin?? "

At least someone was able to take a stand in this family and make their vote count. Good job, girlies! Daddy is proud!
