We saw some snow flurries this morning as the kids were leaving for the bus. So it should be getting pretty cold in here, but all day I just kept thinking how warm our house was staying. It must be the beans I am boiling on the stove, I kept thinking. Then suddenly I realized I was getting hot and that just didn't seem right. And I could still hear the heater running. So I raced over and found our thermostat was now at 95 degrees. Who knows how long it has been cranking out the heat?
Brent is not going to be happy about that.
Caroline admitted to turning it up sometime today, she doesn't remember when. She was running around barefoot in a sundress and was cold. That's what happens when you sit down to blog and ignore the children. Luckily we have a tiny house that heats up quick.
I just turned it down to 65.
Let the freezing begin. It's going to be a long six months before I am warm like this again so right now I am going to sit here feel warm and cozy for the very last time. . .thanks to Caroline.

You should get her an electric blanket. I'm surprised your house didn't come with a wood stove.
Love your blog. Fun stuff. We are starting the freezing bit here too. But we are enjoying the fall. Great pictures!
WOW! Just the other day I caught Abygail turning the heater on/up too. She didn't actually know what she was doing, she was just pressing buttons like mommy does. I had to move the furniture/play items away from the thermostat so she can't do that again.
Anything over 65 degrees now and I feel like I'm a turkey and my button is about to pop out!!!
too funny about the thermostat. we keep it cold here too, i'm kind of dreading the long winter that lies ahead. I'd keep it at 71 if it weren't for the price of oil!! Very cute family pix. and very cute of you and your bald boys. great church stories!! I need to record mine....some you just never want to forget!
