Awesome! I love vacations on the cheap (although I don't know about bunking it in the Buick...). Growing up, we used to go to Disneyland and bring ALL of our food in coolers. We'd rent one teeny, crummy hotel room and the four girls (plus Mom) would sleep there while the boys (my dad and two brothers) would camp out in the van in the parking lot. One time we ate a meal at the park and it was the BIGGEST deal...and I still have the Minnie Mouse ears my parents splurged on when I was about 8. They have my name embroidered on the back, and they were one of my greatest treasures. All that parking lot camping made it worth it when I got those!
Can't wait to hear about your adventures. They're always hilarious and fun to read. Your giving those kids of yours some awesome memories.
