Next time you make homemade pizza. . .

Try this:

Dump 1/2 a bag of fresh spinach in a pot and saute on low with a little olive oil.
I chopped it up a bit first.
Let it cook down (takes about 5 minutes)
Then dump in your normal pizza sauce- whatever you use.
I like Hunt's Traditional spagetti sauce. It's good and the cheapest. I also add extra italian seasoning and a little red pepper, cuz I like spice.

Then make up your pizza with your spinach laden red sauce.
It is delicious AND the kids won't notice all the greenery they are consuming.
I always add spinach to my spagetti sauce anyway so I thought, Why not pizza?

Great idea! Definitely trying that one. I love sauted spinach anyway. Great way to get the kids to eat the greens. May try it tonight!

Thanks for the tip.
